Part 1: Building knowledge (Six modules)             Building knowledge in Islamic finance from theory and ethics to wealth planning and management.
Part 2: Building skills (Five core + Four specialised modules) Building skills in handling operational issues and Islamic financial transactions, such as structuring corporate financing and issuing Islamic securities, with the option to specialise in specific areas of Islamic banking and/or takaful.

ADMISSIONS POLICY

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Generally the minimum academic requirement for entry into the CIFP programme is a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution. However, those with a diploma from a recognised institution will also be considered if they have at least five years working experience in a relevant field.                                      In addition, as the CIFP coursework and examinations are conducted in English, candidates should ensure that they are proficient in English in order to undertake the programme.                                      Applications are considered based on academic merits and potential, as well as relevant professional experience.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Application for admission into the CIFP programme may be made at any time during the year. There is no closing date for submission of application. However, the INCEIF academic terms commence in June and December each year. Examinations are normally held at the end of each term in October and April respectively. You may apply online at www.inceif.org. Alternatively, please contact the INCEIF Admissions Office to request for the application form to be posted to you.                                                                           Completed application forms should be accompanied by the following documents :

One recent passport-sized photograph. One certified copy of MyKad (for Malaysian candidates) or the identification page of your passport (for international candidates). One certified copy of the certificates of diploma or degree and/or professional qualifications. One certified copy of all academic transcripts. An employment comfirmation letter ( if employed).

Please provide an official English translation if the certificates and academic transcripts are not in Bahasa Malaysia or English. If you are a recent graduate and your official transcript is not yet available, please provide a certified copy of all the relevant examination results.

APPLICATION FOR EXEMPTION

Applicants may apply for exemption for the modules in Part I only, on condition that they are made together at the time of application for admission to the CIFP programme. You will also need to pay an exemption fee for each module exempted.

Exemptions are awarded on the basis of

(a) relevance of the course content to the modules offered in Part I, subject to those courses being passed at a grade acceptable to INCEIF, and the qualification being obtained from a recognised institution; or

(b) working experience in a relevant field.

NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSION STATUS

Application for admission will only be processed upon receiving the completed information. INCEIF will notify applicant of the decision on their application for admission within 14 calendar days from the day of receiving the complete document. Applicants whose applications are rejected are not allowed to appeal, but may submit a new application at a later date, providing new material information.

REGISTRATION AS CANDIDATE

Approved applicants are given 30 calendar days from the date of the Letter of Offer to remit the appropriate fees to be registered as candidates for the CIFP programme. Applicants who are unable to meet the payment due date, are to notify the INCEIF Admissions Office of the delay in payment, giving an acceptable reason, before the payment due date. In the event that candidates are unable to submit the full payment, or request for fee deferment within the stipulated time frame, the offer for registration will be automatically nullified.                                                                           Upon successful registration, candidates will receive the following materials via post :

a study guide that organises the study curriculum, preparatory programmes, textbooks references and exam preparation; relevant study materials academic policy handbook, and an INCEIF student identification card
